The Story Behind Our Name

Why is the company named My Party Porch, you might ask? The inspiration comes from some of life’s best memories, which begin in the backyard, on the front porch, playing a favorite game, beneath a tent filled with laughter, or gathered around a beautifully set table where family and friends come together to celebrate. Whether the occasion is simple or extravagant, it’s the connections we make and the memories we create that last a lifetime. Those moments are the inspiration behind My Party Porch. We believe every gathering deserves beautiful details, dependable service, and a trusted partner who provides the rentals, resources, and personal care to help make every celebration truly unforgettable. Leadership

Meet the Founder & Owner of My Party Porch Crystal Partin is an award-winning leader, entrepreneur, and the founder of My Party Porch. A lifelong resident of Northern Virginia, Crystal has spent more than 25 years building high- performing teams, developing future leaders, and creating exceptional experiences for the people and communities she serves. Throughout her career, one passion has remained constant: helping create stronger and more connected communities.

Before founding My Party Porch, Crystal spent the majority of her career in community association management, where she led teams, partnered with community leaders, and helped create thriving neighborhoods throughout Northern Virginia. Managing communities ranging from condominiums to large-scale neighborhoods, Crystal became known for her ability to build relationships, develop strong teams, and create meaningful experiences and events that brought residents together.

Crystal holds the community association industry’s highest professional designation, Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM), along with the Association Management Specialist (AMS) and Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) credentials. She has authored articles for Quorum Magazine, been featured in the Bull Run Observer, appeared as a guest on Fairfax County’s Your Community, You’re Connected, and previously taught industry certification courses for the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI). She remains an active member of CAI and continues to maintain her professional designations as part of her commitment to lifelong learning and serving communities at the highest level.

Throughout her career in community management, Crystal discovered that some of her most rewarding moments came from helping communities create meaningful connections through events and activities. She worked alongside Board members, Activity Committees, and community leaders to plan celebrations, gatherings, and experiences that brought neighbors together and strengthened the sense of community.

As a busy executive and mother, Crystal experienced firsthand the challenges many families face when trying to plan meaningful events while balancing the demands of everyday life. She understood the desire to create special memories for her family, but also knew how overwhelming it could feel to find reliable partners and navigate the planning process. After years of helping communities overcome challenges and bringing people together through her professional career, Crystal realized planning a celebration should not feel like another source of stress. She wanted the next chapter of her career to focus on something different; helping people create joyful moments, celebrate life’s milestones, and enjoy the process along the way. That vision became My Party Porch.

In 2026, Crystal left her corporate job behind to focus 100% on the leadership of My Party Porch. Crystal is dedicated to helping families, businesses, schools, and communities create the events they want through exceptional rentals, outstanding customer service, and a stress-free experience from start to finish. Her mission is simple: make event planning easier, help people celebrate more, and create opportunities for connection one event at a time.

Crystal lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and is the proud mother of two grown sons. Her oldest son shares her passion for serving and enriching communities through the community association industry, while her youngest son proudly serves our nation as a Sailor in the United States Navy. Outside of work, Crystal enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga as a certified yoga instructor, and finding moments to celebrate the connections and experiences that make life meaningful.
